      Verdict

      Smile A Mile is penalised for landing the odds at Yarmouth three days ago. He made every yard on that occasion but similar tactics here could play into the hands of STAR SHIELD (NAP). The latter produced a late surge to win at Ascot last week and can continue his good progress with the style of that success suggesting a 4lb rise won’t be enough to anchor her. An apprentice’s allowance helps the cause of Saisons D’Or but Storm Ahead’s earlier win at Doncaster came in soft ground and Zip has placed in heavy going the last twice. The latter’s stablemate Gallipoli has yet to race over further than 7f.
