Verdict

SIGNALLER is a confident choice to break his maiden tag here, while Off Chance may prove to be best of the remainder. Mark Johnston has his runners stoked up at the moment and Signaller made a pleasing debut when third of 14 here on fast ground at the last meeting. That was over a mile, and this step up in trip looks ideal for the Rahy colt, who can come on plenty for that run and score. Off Chance and Cosmic both represent out-of-form Tim Easterby, although the former showed up well on her Newcastle introduction. Fast ground suits, but the yard's form plus this longer trip are negatives. Cosmic should be better for this longer trip but has plenty to prove judged on his debut. Goswick is an interesting newcomer from a yard going well, and with the pedigree to suggest that she could take a hand. She should be noted in the market, but Signaller is the one for us.
