Verdict
This looks to be between Red Sun, Tiyoun and George Stubbs and we will take a chance with Red Sun. John Mackie's gelding loves to set the pace over hurdles and goes well on fast ground in both versions of the game. A winner on good to firm at Newcastle last time out, he has a 6lb penalty here and can defy that to score, with stamina guaranteed. George Stubbs is also a guaranteed stayer and has a course and distance win to his name last month. He stays on a fair mark this time, but he has never won on ground faster than good and for that reason we oppose him, though he can still go well. Meanwhile Tiyoun has course form but has not yet won over this trip, albeit he has gone close. He handles fast ground well and is on the sort of mark that can see him finish thereabouts, but in this trappy looking race we will side with Red Sun to follow up his Newcastle success.
