In depth

Verdict

A small field but all have chances including Shimba Hills, who has only had four runs and produced his best effort on this track. Greed Is Good looked progressive when scoring at Thirsk then managed to get boxed in at Kempton when there were only six runners. FAIR FLUTTER has improved with every run and though handed the verdict in the stewards room at Beverley would have been an unlucky loser so he gets the nod with further progress likely. Vine De Nada has been running in much better company over shorter trips since scoring at Beverley while Xanthos scored easily at Newcastle before finishing last in a big sales race at York and second in a three-runner race at Sandown. Al Baz has won three of his last five and finished last in the other two and looks high in the weights.
