Verdict
Holeinthewall Bar easily won a Down Royal handicap in January but hasn't proved as effective on quicker ground. THOMOND ran a fine race in the Topham at Aintree but didn't really get going at Fairyhouse next time. He'll enjoy the ground and trip more than most and can gain his first victory since 2014. Stonehall Jack has been running well but is now on his highest-ever mark while Clontarf has only had two starts over fences and was well beaten in a novice chase at Fairyhouse last time. Motown Bob was a long way behind Stonehall Jack at Tramore last time and is closely matched with Catalaunian Fields on their run at that track earlier in the year.
