Verdict
PUNCHES PIOUS produced a couple of decent runs on soft ground before running away with a Gowran handicap a week ago, coming home 10l clear. He's been hit with a 10lb rise but with conditions likely to be similar he can defy the extra. Cosmic Symbol gained the first victory of his career on his 25th start at that same meeting and has gone up 7lb but Aspen Belle has had a break since a narrow victory at Cork in April. The latter has more scope than most of these and could still be well handicapped while Stamp Of Authority makes a quick reappearance after finishing third at Leopardstown on Thursday. Jackie Ellis is 1-37 and let supporters down again at Navan last time. He's produced his best run the only time he's raced on heavy ground so could get into the action.
