In depth

Verdict

Bryan Cooper takes the ride on Burndown rather than the owner's Milsean and his mount showed real potential on his chasing debut at Kilbeggan. Gwencily Berbas has been coming up against some smart performers over fences and the form of his second to Ask Nile at Killarney has worked out well. However, that was over 2m1f and this much longer trip can enable VOICES OF SPRING, who was staying on strongly into sixth, to gain his revenge and take this for Tony Martin. Jimmy Two Times has shown decent form over fences and is another who will be suited by stepping up in trip while Round Tower hasn't done much wrong against strong opposition in three starts over the bigger obstacles. Sure Reef is by the sprinter Choisir so wouldn't be regarded as chasing material but he's won twice over hurdles and he'll be ready for this. Une Lavandiere started favourite for his chasing bow at Tramore and though he didn't jump well he wouldn't have enjoyed the very quick ground.
