In depth

Verdict

Bal De Rio has won four times on the Flat but is 0-11 over hurdles. Dual bumper winner Dakota Beat was sent to Sedgefield for his hurdling bow where he started a short-priced favourite but finished lame. He's expected to do much better while Email Rose ran his best race to date at Limerick in January, though some rain would aid his cause. Santana Plessis won a Kilbeggan bumper in July and will be better for his debut over timber at Thurles in November though may need further than this. ONLYHUMAN looks the logical choice for this. A smart performer on the Flat who has been placed in Listed company and ran very well in the Irish Lincoln a couple of weeks ago, his run at Thurles in March suggests he'll be up to winning races over hurdles.
