Just the six runners to choose from but not the easiest race to solve and narrow preference is for Millbag, who gets the verdict over Matt Blanc and the once-raced Chauvinism. The last mentioned did not seem to beat much when making a winning debut at Ayr recently but is open to improvement and has to be respected. Matt Blanc, on the other hand, has raced seven times to date winning for the second time in his career in an Ayr nursery last month. Although beaten in similar company at Chester subsequently, that was over seven furlongs and the return to today's trip should help. However, Millbag created a favourable impression when losing his maiden tag at Haydock and lost no caste in defeat in a decent conditions race behind two useful types at Doncaster afterwards. The faster surface here should suit the son of Cape Cross and he gets the verdict for Mick Channon. Lord Links appears to be the Hannon second string and, while he is not dismissed lightly, the selection holds more solid claims. Neither the maiden King's Caprice nor Cape Trafalgar, who seems to have lost her way recently make much appeal and we are happy to stick with Millbag.
