In depth

Verdict

A potentially-informative novice stakes featuring runners from several big yards. Neon Sea can only improve on a debut second at Chelmsford and Hotsy Totsy ran a cracker when finishing ahead of Mayfair Pompette at Newbury considering she missed the break. Any Smile still has scope but ALHAKMAH looks the one to beat on seconds last year at Goodwood and Newbury. On the latter occasion, she found only a subsequent Group 3 winner too good. The two previous winners have to give 7lb to the others and that may prove beyond Wolverhampton scorers Kodiac Lass and She's Got You, with the latter looking a tricky ride.
