Richard Hannon is double handed here with Fair Compton and Pine Bay, the first named just gets our vote, with Golden Dixie another obvious contender. Fair Compton had shown signs of ability before smoothly beating Aintnecessarilyso at Brighton last time. She was never really threatened under a positive ride, and she can build on that success this afternoon. Stable companion Pine Bay ended last season with a victory at Windsor, the signals this season suggest she isn't far off winning again and a big run can be expected. Golden Dixie comes here in great heart chasing a hat-trick of victories and although the handicapper has taken note he should still make his presence felt. Danehill Stroller may prove best of the remainder, but on this occasion we will stick with the progressive Fair Compton.
