Verdict
Lasso is the pick in a very tricky end to proceedings, with French School, Homme Dangereux and Dane's Rock just a few others with claims. This is a nightmare for anyone chasing losses, as the getting-out stakes does not throw up anything with obvious claims. However, Lasso meets nothing as good as Clear Impression who she was behind on her first Turf start at Kempton in April, and with a favourable low draw on her handicap debut, is a tentative choice. Being a daughter of Indian Ridge, she would really prefer a bit of juice in the ground, but she is related to the useful Rebecca Sharp and a win would certainly enhance her paddock value. French School only beat one home at Nottingham on her return to the fray, while Homme Dangereux's only decent effort was a second on the all-weather in March. Dane's Rock has winning form on the all-weather but has been exposed as little better than plating class up to now, and while the market may throw up a springer, we are prepared to side with Lasso who looks the part on breeding at least.
