Verdict
There will be no hanging about with Ballista in the field and Tom Dascombe's six-year-old is likely to try and see his rivals off from the stalls. PROFESSOR invariably performs well in races of this nature and with ground to suit, Richard Hannon's colt is taken to follow up last season's success. Highland Colori is capable of reproducing his form regardless of the going and last season's Ayr Gold Cup winner would be a danger to all if running up to his best. Artistic Jewel gets a valuable fillies allowance and Ed McMahon's charge is already a winner in this grade having won two races against her own sex last season. Valonia was outclassed in the Fred Darling Stakes but the form of her third in the Rockfel Stakes has worked out well and she should be competitive in receipt of both a fillies and an age-related allowance.
