Verdict
An interesting maiden to kick things off at Salisbury and Cheveley park Stakes entry Christina's Dream is fancied to make the most of a beneficial draw and strike a blow for the fillies here. Devil's Bite has a little to prove after a disappointing effort last time so Instinct, who represents last year's winning trainer in this event, is the preferred option to chase the selection home. Cairns has an eye-catching pedigree and is one to bear in mind if supported, but the Channon team have been struggling with first-time out two-year-olds this season so the daughter of Cadeaux Genereaux is best watched today. Therefore, Christina's Dream, a half-sister to the smart sprinter To The Roof and a couple of other five furlong winners, may be the safest option today. She was well touted before making a satisfactory debut behind Kunda at Newbury last month and can confidently be expected to have benefited from that tender introduction to racing. Christina's Daughter has plenty of size about her and has plenty of scope for the future. The daughter of Spectrum was also doing some solid work near the finish on her debut and should have no problems with today's trip or going.
