The Hannon yard has won this with odds-on chances in two of the last three years but Mr Scaramanga won't be that short in the betting. The filly Gemina, on the other hand, has had just the one run, winning a Sandown maiden with a bit in hand. Rebel De Lope bolted up at Lingfield while Yarmouth scorer Ronald R is improving but the interesting one is JACKHAMMER. He ran in the Vintage Stakes at Goodwood after beating Sea Fox here on his debut and a line through Boynton gives him the beating of Mr Scaramanga.
