An Caisteal Nuadh followed an opening bumper victory at Limerick with a fair run in a much better race at Galway. His pedigree suggests he'll be a stayer so the trip shouldn't be a problem and any rain would help. BLACK ACE won a bumper here in May and made a very promising debut over hurdles when runner-up to Jack The Wire at Galway. He can go one better as Holy Water already had plenty of experience before his best run to date over the track and trip a couple of weeks ago. Legal Proceedings had looked a certain future winner when runner-up at Gowran in June and started favourite at Roscommon next time but pulled much too hard and was soon done with.
