Verdict
Mountain Ash, a likely pacesetter, has a leading chance if putting a mid-division finish last time behind him when sent off market leader. Having previously been run down in the very last stride at Chepstow, Patrick Millman will provide him with strong assistance from the saddle. In contrast, HOT DAY, a hold-up merchant, came back from a break to run a close third - beaten three parts of a length - to Sophosc in a similar contest under today's pilot at Newbury in what rated a slightly stronger contest. He should be right in contention if backing up that useful effort off an unchanged mark. Defilade and Daany came home second and third at Bath over this trip last month but neither is the easiest to catch right, whilst Florence Street was better last time when not beaten too far and Simon Walker is booked.
