In depth

Verdict

PEMPIE looked certain to be suited by further when a close second over a mile at Windsor and has every chance of going one better. Akwaan also takes a step up from a mile after failing to justify favouritism at Chepstow and his dam won over 1m4f so stamina shouldn't be a problem. Ifreet has had three all-weather runs on different surfaces but couldn't handle Fibresand at Southwell last time while Starczewski has a very similar profile having only raced on artificial surfaces, though he's more likely to appreciate the longer trip.
