    Verdict

Richard Hannon complicates matters by saddling SUGAR LUMP and Three Robins but the former looks the best of the pair after a very encouraging debut in what looked a fair maiden at Nottingham where he just failed to hold the late thrust of Ustinov. That looks better form than that of Three Robins though she failed to quicken on soft ground on the same track and should be better suited by this quicker going. Brazen Spirit failed to act on soft ground here last time and Offshore could need another furlong so one of the newcomers, possibly the speedily-bred Francis Scott Key, may prove best of the remainder.
