        In depth

        Verdict

        Cool Macavity and Doricemay are lightly raced, though disappointed last time. But Mattoral has dropped to a decent mark and could be interesting in first-time blinkers, while Grumeti is at the top of his game and chasing a hat-trick after narrow wins at Haydock and over this C&D last month. The inevitable weight rise suggests he may be vulnerable today, however, and may be too close in the handicap to PARLOUR GAMES. Antioco Murgia's claim takes a valuable 7lb off the top weight, who didn't quite appear to get home over 1m4f at Newmarket last time having found a fine turn of foot to score on his reappearance at Kempton in a race that produced a host of subsequent winners including the smart Brown Panther. Rastaban and Standout have place claims again, while Orientalist has been running better than his form figures suggest and is also worth a second look in the betting.
