In depth
Verdict
Zowington was good value for his win on fast ground at Lingfield last month but has a good record on testing ground and Chris Wall's gelding is taken to follow up here, getting the verdict over Diriculous and Crimson Fern. The last mentioned lost no caste in defeat behind Stolt at York recently but has yet to show that she handles ground as soft as this so may be best watched. Glasshoughton handles plenty of cut in the ground but may be a shade high in the weights, while Namir would probably prefer the ground to be a bit quicker. River Thames has something to find with Crimson Fern on running at York and of more interest may be the Terry Mills-trained Diriculous, who has been running well on the all-weather of late and he should handle these conditions. Zowington has solid claims though and he gets the vote.
