In depth
Verdict
Corroboree can defy topweight over Annie Byers, with The Extra Man likely to play apart in proceedings. It was no surprise when Corroboree scored on his comeback at Kempton, given the way Nigel Twiston-Davies has been banging in the winners, and he too is sure to have been well schooled for this, his chase debut, although time will tell whether he starts on a fair mark here. Annie Byers has also proved her worth this season, battling home at Leicester, but she might need further over fences in time. Unmistakably fell three out on his British debut at Exeter, and this full brother to Berude Not Too will have to give these fences plenty of respect if he is to figure. The Extra Man will be all the better for his comeback at Huntingdon a fortnight ago, his first outing in 600 days. He was good enough to land a grade 3 hurdle race at Sandown two years ago, and has some experience over fences. With Tony McCoy booked to ride, he will have support in the ring. However, we reckon that Corroboree is the one to beat in the opening event on the card.
