Verdict

Starting positions will again prove important in this with improving Ffos Las winner Gooseberry Bush stuck out in the centre of the track. Cardinal, Triple Dream and Sulis Minerva are similarly disadvantaged, but Equuleus Pictor will be able to blaze a trail from stall four with his usual cheekpieces replaced by a set of blinkers. Boogie Waltzer has a lot to prove after a shocking effort at Beverley last time, however, and stable companion Stratton Banker is better on an artificial surface. So is SHOSTAKOVICH but he does have form on turf and is beginning to come down the weights again. Well drawn, Sylvester Kirk's three-year-old can get the better of his elders. The consistent Bobby's Doll and Mata Hari Blue looks the pick of the remainder.
