Icebuster saw out this trip well enough when second at Ripon and has to go on the short-list here off the same mark. DEAN SWIFT has more scope, however, so it's Brian Meehan's easy Goodwood winner that gets the vote as the handicapper hasn't over-reacted to that success. Stablemate Blue Spartan is also worth a second look and Wiggy Smith continues to defy his years but the pick of the older horses may be Broughtons Swinger, who won under Adam Beschizza at Newbury and Windsor in June and wasn't beaten far off this mark at Warwick last month.
