Verdict
Prokofiev can follow up his Newbury win, with Joe Blake, One Nation, Tom Costalot and Orswell Crest rated his main dangers. The selection comes here in good heart following a good Newbury win, for which he has been raised six pounds. He has two ways of running but, if in the same mood as at Newbury, can make a bold bid to follow up that success. Turning to the others. Joe Blake looked very progressive until flopping in a very valuable chase at Haydock last time. If you can forgive him that effort, he can go well, even off topweight. One Nation hails from an in-form yard and is now rated only three-pounds higher than for his most-recent win. The question is how will he handle the step up to three miles? Henrietta Knight also runs Perfect Fellow, who is at least returning to a more-sensible mark following a couple of indifferent efforts. However, stable jockey Jim Culloty has elected to ride One Nation. The jury is out on First Love for now following his defeat at Ascot last time and Hescondido, although back to below a winning mark, has not had too much racing of late. Tom Costalot is certainly interesting now that he is back to a winning mark, while the likeable Orswell Crest is now only five-pounds higher than for his most-recent success and is one of only two course and distance winners in the line-up. The other one is Lord 'N' Master, who looked more like his old self when finishing third at Kempton last time. Once again, though, we'll stick with Prokofiev.
