In depth
Verdict
Heritage Coast, Red Merlin and Buddy Holly are the three to look at here with Heritage Coast taken to score. Red Merlin turned in his most pleasing display last time at Folkestone, staying on well in the closing stages to be a close second. Running off the same mark here he can go well. Wins at Nottingham and Bath followed by a solid second last time, pinpoint Buddy Holly as a runner to note. He is consistent and in good form but he is three pounds higher than his latest run and he is taken on. Heritage Coast has been a beaten favourite on three of her four starts, but she shaped well on her re-appearance, finishing a close second. She is brought back in trip here, but she looks the most reliable performer here and is relatively unexposed. Heritage Coast can take the finale.
