    Verdict

Strategy should be capable of giving weight away all round to her male opponents in the finale, the best of whom may be Liquid Form. Sir Michael Stoute's filly lines up in fair form, having been successful at Warwick and Nottingham, the latest victory being only her fifth racecourse appearance. Apart from a slight hiccup at Chester earlier she has shown progressive form all season and a win here can signal a crack at a better contest, maybe at Newmarket this autumn. The daughter of Machiavellian has most to fear from Liquid Form who finally got his head in front at Kempton where he made mincemeat of his rivals. Having dropped down to a winning mark, the handicapper is sure to take note and put him back up again with a vengeance if he beats the selection. However, this grade higher race should prove a bit tougher and we still take Strategy to prevail. Treculiar disappointed last time, as did Young Safawan, while Tender Falcon races from out of the handicap, yet more reasons to side with the topweight who gets a confident vote.
