Verdict

A quality maiden to round off the card with Argonaut just preferred over Les Arcs and Gold Bar. Sir Michael Stoute and Brett Doyle look to have struck up a decent partnership of late and Argonaut, who was seen finishing with gusto behind his stablemate, Promotion, looks the one to be with. John Gosden's maidens have been landing prizes left, right and centre and he relies upon Les Arcs here. He was second in a fairly moderate Bath maiden and there is the suspicion that he will probably come into his own once stepped up in trip. Gold Bar caught the eye of many racereaders when finishing down the field at Newmarket. The market is watched to see if any of that confidence reaches the betting ring. Glencoyle looks the best of the two Stewart representatives. He ran well on debut at Pontefract but looked very one paced when sent off favourite for a Beverley contest over 1m4f. The market should give the best clues as to the chances of the remainder.
