Castano comes from a yard in good form and can follow up his soft ground Folkestone win here, with Gentle Guru, Black Moma, Miss Ipolita and Time Share others under scrutiny. Rod Millman's Castano was a decisive winner last time, as his form leading into that maiden perhaps entitled him to be. His mark of 70 is fair enough and he is related to winners over this trip at three, so he has plenty going for him and he looks good enough to overcome his draw and add to his tally. Gentle Guru keeps knocking on the door and has been mainly campaigned over 6f so far. Even so, she went well over this stiff five last month and if there is any rain then she will be a threat despite her own poor draw. Black Moma has been raised 4lb for a narrow victory at Lingfield on soft last time and it remains to be seen if she can find the necessary improvement to defy that, and Miss Ipolita, who acts on good ground, is in form and has a decent pitch may be a bigger threat. Time Share was a comfortable 6f Wolverhampton scorer last time and drops back in trip. Her turf form has thus far not convinced and so we will pass her over in favour of Castano, who can follow up.
