        Verdict

        While Quadrilateral hasn’t quite scaled the heights connections would have hoped, her reputation remains untarnished as she has placed in both the 1000 Guineas and the Coronation Stakes this year. But she may have to settle for making the frame again in this as BILLESDON BROOK was back at the top of her game when just failing to overhaul the progressive Nazeef in a strong renewal of the Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket. Richard Hannon’s five-year-old is a dual Group 1 winner but doesn’t have a penalty in this. Romola won a Listed race at Pontefract last month but Ryan Moore has got off her to ride Quadrilateral and Lavender's Blue faces stronger opposition than when successful 12 months ago. Lady Bowthorpe had Look Around five lengths behind in this grade at Ascot but has picked up a penalty for that success.
