Verdict

Diamond Dougal is penalised and upped in class after winning at Bath last week while Last Page won a novices race at Wolverhampton recently but was beaten by Haddaf at Southwell earlier. The latter has yet to win on Turf while Spoof was raised 20lb after finishing fifth in a Group 3 sprint at Newmarket in October and should have done better at Bath on his reappearance. TO WAFIJ finished in front of both Albishr and Global Academy when only sixth on his return at Newcastle in February but Roger Varian’s yard is in better form now and sent out the winner of last year’s renewal. The top weight gets the nod with an apprentice’s allowance further helping his cause.
