    Verdict

DISCOVERY ISLAND has the advantage of a recent run and it was promising debut when beaten only a head at Newmarket. The first three finished clear of the rest and Charlie Appleby’s charge looks to have most to fear from a newcomer in this. Ryan Moore won this last year on a Sir Michael Stoute inmate and My Frankel is preferred to stable companion Mars Landing while Frankie partners the 600,000gns Dewhurst entry Palace Pier for his only booked ride on the card. Lord Campari is also in the Dewhurst Stakes and makes more appeal than stablemate Talap while Finest Sound and Fruition are others worthy of a second glance.
