Verdict
Faayej can see off Dream Magic, Lady McNair and Barry Island in the finale. Sir Michael Stoute's charge has not really repaid too much of his expensive purchase price but the fact that Sheikh Hamdan has not sold him over the winter leads us to believe that he is probably better than what we have seen thus far. Dream Magic ran a solid race at Newbury and should be thereabouts again. Lady McNair ran an encouraging race behind Henesey's Leg and looks to be coming to peak fitness. Barry Island has ability but the stable is not in great form. He holds Best Be Going on a recent run but that was Best Be Going's first run and he can forgiven that effort. Tender Falcon is a course and distance winner and it is highly interesting that Frankie McDonald, who won on him previously, has been jocked off in favour of Johnny Murtagh. A tight handicap in which a chance is taken with Faayej but more than a cursory glance in the market is made about Best Be Going.
