In depth

Verdict

This will not take too much winning, and the answer should lie among the trio of Club Royal, Storm Ahead and Princess Claudia, with the latter given as the selection. The mare has shown more promise than most of these on her three starts to date over timber, and as she was ostensibly a middle-distance to staying sort on the Flat, the longer trip here can pay dividends. Her style of racing, coming from off the pace as she does, should enable the daughter of Kahyasi pick off her rivals. Club Royal ran well last time and Graham Lee rides plenty of winners at Sedgefield, while Storm Ahead was no world beater in Ireland. However, he has run or two decent races since coming over and can make the frame. Best of the rest is likely to be Laundmower, and any moves for Sue Smith's charge should be noted. Princess Claudia should take all the beating though.
