Verdict
Wee Forbees recieves 7lb from his main rival Le Roi Rouge and that is enough to sway us in favour of Howard Johnsons' contender. Last seen contesting a hot novice chase at Huntingdon, Wee Forbees was unable to dictate in his usual style which contributed to his jumping errors. He appeared a horse of some potential last season and he should prove too good for these rivals provided his jumping holds up. Le Roi Rouge disappointed at Hexham last time when reverted to novice company when he never travelled but won impressively on his penultimate outing over the course on ground much different to what he will encounter today. He was a smart performer in France but the quicker ground conditions would be a worry. Of the remainder Rossin Gold's best form on the flat was when there was plenty of cut so that would be a worry although he was not disgraced last time on only his second outing over the larger obstacles after falling on his chasing debut. Wee Forbees is a confident selection to come home in front.
