In depth
Verdict
This looks a good opportunity for Longstone Lass to follow up her recent victory, possibly at the expense of Power and Diamond and Frankincense. Richard Guest's five-year-old slaughtered his rivals in a amateur riders handicap last time, coming home eighteen lengths clear of her nearest pursuer. Admittedly they were a poor bunch but so are these and she should make it two wins in a row. Power And Demand had shown very little this season until finishing an excellent second in a similar contest at Catterick. If that wasn't a flash in the pan he should be involved in the finish here. Frankincense is lumbered with top-weight and hasn't shown very much lately, but on his best form he could be given a squeak. Fegal The Piler is from a top yard but has shown very little, still he could prove best of the remainder. So in a very weak contest Longstone Lass appeals as the horse with the best credentials.
