In depth
Verdict
There was plenty to like about the battling win for Trooper here last time and if Jim Crowley can repeat Tony Dobbin's strong driving ride then he might just be good enough to follow up. But preference is for Sireric, who although still on his highest winning mark, will absolutely love the ground and the thorough test of stamina. In a race where few inspire any sort of confidence, the veteran chaser will be staying on when others have cried enough and can add to his course and distance win of almost five years ago. Of the remainder, Moonlite Magic was well beaten by Trooper here last time, Over Zealous has plenty to prove after failing to complete on his last three outings, Phar Echo would like better ground, Mr Mahdlo clearly looks exposed, and the same can be said of Figawin.
