Verdict

Winning bumper Dr Flynn hasn't done as well as expected over timber and looks a little high in the weights on what he has achieved. He hasn't done enough to justify what are likely to be short odds. BARAATHEN'S one decent effort came on good ground here in September and with a decent weight allowance from Dr Flynn plus Henry Brooke's claim he may be good enough to take this poor handicap. Erin Dancer hasn't been beaten far in his last two starts but connections wouldn't have been expecting him to start his handicap career from the top of the weights.
