Verdict
Officially the best of these on BHB ratings, Formal Bid is more exposed than most of these and is readily opposable in the opener on the Sedgefield card. Mick Easterby's Ridgeway has been lightly raced over hurdles and, judged on his flat form (rated in the 70s), may be open to more improvement. The son of Indian Ridge made a pleasing return to the winter game at Market Rasen when a close fourth to Ulusaba and he should go close. Recent Hexham winner Argento and Howard Johnson's reappearing Another Dude are others to consider but the TEAMtalk selection goes to Celebration Town. A 90 rated horse, at his best, on the flat the son of Case Law makes his debut over hurdles here at the age of five and would only need to reproduce flat form to figure prominently.
