In depth
Verdict
Plenty of big stables represented and this is an interesting contest, although that makes it hard to nominate a selection with confidence. Askariyah showed a modicum of promise in a decent maiden at Leicester on her debut but will need to step up on that. Zaynaat finished ahead of her that day and forms the benchmark for the form. Candelabra is by Grand Lodge out of a sister to Group 3-winning sprinter Argentum. She should improve for her Kempton debut run. Given that Cara Fantasy (a half-sister to Fantasy Hill) is bred to stay middle distances, she did well to finish fourth to subsequent Royal Lodge winner Al Jadeed on her debut. Dancing Key is entitled to improve on her Kempton debut fourth behind Waldmark, who could develop into a useful filly. John Dunlop's stable will have a line of form on In Love through Discreet Brief. In Love should also stay a lot further next year. Karathaena is a well-related daughter of Barathea from the same family as Darshaan on her dam's side. The going is likely to suit her. Panglossian also has plenty of stamina in her breeding and may be sharper for the outing, but she is related to a number of winners. If pressed for a TEAMtalk selection then Cara Fantasy could make her stamina tell in the rain-softened going.
