In depth
Verdict
On his best form Sad Mad Bad would have excellent claims here, however on this occasion we will side with Kilcaskin Gold, with Go Nomadic put forward as the main threat. Kilcaskin Gold stayed on strongly over a slightly shorter trip at Hexham last time when comfortably beating some average performers. Today's opposition is of a similar grade and a follow up is expected. Go Nomadic was successful over a marathon trip at Perth last April and will come on for a recent third at Hexham, he looks a big danger to the selection. Who Dares Wins and Noble Hymn have decent enough recent form to warrant a mention and as we mentioned Sad Mad Bad is not out of it on his best form, but Kilcaskin Gold is only a nine-year-old, looks to be improving and gets our vote.
