        Verdict

        A large field goes to post for this novices hurdle but there is plenty of dead wood and we will take a chance on Medalist. The gelding from the Brian Ellison yard was a fair fourth behind Mr Midaz last time out and a reproduction of that effort would make him hard to beat,Hirvine won well last time out when defeating Montessori Mio and if he is as effective on this slightly softer surface he will not be far away. Toejam has shown a modicum of ability but appears not to really stay this trip. Of the remainder Rousing Thunder is from a shrewd yard and is worth an cautionary look in the market. The remainder look very ordinary and are best watched.
