Verdict

Questions to be answered by a few of these, and this can go to The Kiddykid. The gelding's only success came over 5f here 12 months ago, and he looks to have trained on judged on his form so far. Unlucky to take on Bonus on his latest start, he can show that this easier six furlongs is the ideal trip and score. The one to chase him home could well be seasonal debutante Michelle Ma Belle. Progressive with experience last year, she overcame a difficult draw to win a valuable sales race at Newmarket. Clearly it is difficult to predict how much more there is to come this year after seven months off, but she should go well and the market will give us some guide to her chance. Also likely to make the frame is Sierra Vista, who was a speedy juvenile. Unable to get to the front from a good draw at Chester last time over 5f, she won't mind the ground, but still has to prove she genuinely sees out 6f. Any market confidence here should also be noted. Of the remainder, On The Brink looked set for a good season following a promising reappearance but has been a shade disappointing on her last two starts and has a bit to prove now, especially over this trip.
