A potential minefield for punters to finish off the day with, but this should be between the two likely market leaders, Queen Excalibur and Moyanna. The ground has gone against the former, who put in her best effort to date when headed into second at Warwick last time after leading inside the final furlong. That was over today's trip of a mile, but she has been upped 9lb for that run and that makes this altogether stiffer. She should put up a decent effort again, but preference is for Moyanna, who looks very well in at the weights. Thrashed last time at Newcastle over six furlongs, this extra quarter-of-a-mile will be unknown territory, but she had previously been in great heart with consecutive placed efforts and if she handles the cut all right then she is taken to comeback to form and win this moderate affair off a very handy mark. Sindapour has already been tried over this trip and further this season, though the six furlongs at Sandown last time was clearly too quick for her. She has run well enough with cut in Ireland to suggest that the ground might suit, but she is not in good enough form to warrant being a serious betting proposition just yet. Shirley Collins has had just one poor attempt with cut in the past, but that is not really sufficient evidence to suggest that she can't handle it. Consistent on the fibresand, her forms reads as if connections have not really decided which trip suits best just yet and again she is best watched. Little else makes any serious appeal in a race that is perhaps one of those from which the future will be more profitable than the present.
