Verdict
Blinkers need to rejuvenate Rosie All Over, whilst Work Boy is still a maiden, so this could go the way of course and distance winner SHULMIN. The selection bounced back to form when third to Copper's Gold at Musselburgh last month after a spell in the doldrums and she is now able to race off a mark of 76, some 7lb lower than her last win in November 2008. Obviously her winless run is a concern but all four of her wins have come at this track and she can get back to winning ways. Lusento is one of several horses out of the handicap (including the selection) but didn't run too badly at the track back in November, whilst at the other end of the handicap Celian probably faces a tough task lumping around a big weight over a trip he is yet to prove he stays. Rosie All Over has dropped to a tasty mark but her form looks just average, so a bigger threat could be Work Boy who bumped into a good horse here last time out and deserves to win a race. Copper Bay's form figures read more like a Penguin advert but as a result he has a rather tasty mark to work from, whilst Go On Be A Lady is a course winner and would be interesting if supported in the betting now back from a break and tried over an extended trip. Matmata De Tendron, Rusty Red and Polobury are all considered, however in a weak race it is Shulmin who gets the nod.
