Verdict
Stone Cold enjoyed a progressive novice campaign last season and comes here after a couple of decent runs at Haydock and Newcastle. He has run well at the course in the past, is very consistent and goes on most surfaces. His main danger could come from the useful former hurdler Night Fighter who shaped well on his chase debut at Market Rasen 5 days ago. His best hurdle form came over further than this however. Foreshore Man comes from an in-form stable and has good form in the book but he tends to need his seasonal reappearances so is best watched here. Lislaughtin Abbey can occasionally put up good performances and enjoys racing at this track. If he is on song today he could be there at the shake-up though the ground may turn against him.
