In depth

Verdict

Sea Drifting was the classiest hurdler among these novices and is taken by TEAMtalk to land this race on his second run over the larger obstacles having fallen on his debut. His trainer sends him out quickly enough after that setback suggesting he feels his jumping is sound. Mr Cospector was a useful hurdler himself but may just need this first outing of the season to put him spot on. Jungle Jinks was no slouch himself over hurdles and showed he his liking for fences when winning well at Wetherby earlier this month. He may find things more difficult giving weight away to all but Lord Jack who won over course and distance here two weeks ago. He may need to improve on that effort to win again and will appreciate any more rain.
