        Verdict

        Although Rocket Man was a short-head behind JJ The Jetplane in this a year ago he remains virtually unbeatable on the track. However, he went to Japan for the Grade 1 Sprinters Stakes in October and could only finish fourth behind CURREN CHAN, who won by just under 2l from Pas Des Trois with Rocket Man a further length behind in fourth and Lucky Nine a neck further away. Home advantage will count for plenty here though the Japan raiders look set for further success. Betfred Sprint runner-up Bated Breath looks best of the European challengers.
