Verdict

It's hardly a surprise to see TREASURE THE RIDGE out with a penalty as he won easily at Galway last week and the assessor will hit him with more than the 5lb extra he carries. He can complete a quick double though it's difficult to know what to make of Modista, who gained an impressive victory in a soft-ground maiden here in June and could be anything. Maggie Dalton can be excused her run at the Curragh as she will have found a mile much too short while Cheval Rouge generally competes consistently at a higher level and would be no shock winner. Castle Bar Sling hasn't won for two years but has dropped to a fair mark and showed more dash at Killarney last time.
