In depth

Verdict

Check My Pulse won over an extended 6f at Listowel in September and has been racing over further subsequently. He only faded in the closing stages over 7f back there last time and should have enough pace to get into contention. However, SUNSET NOVA hasn't been beaten far in decent maiden company the last twice, chasing home Mistress Of Venice at Tipperary earlier this month in the latest, so he gets the vote under his in-form rider. Galtee Mist won a 7f Gowran maiden last month and hasn't been beaten far in subsequent starts over shorter though without finding much of a finishing burst. Master Matt, placed three times in the UK last season, finished a long way last on his reappearance at Doncaster and has changed stables.
